Alright, so I havent posted since I left DC. I was off the Insanity program from March 25th and picked up again on April 1st. Boy did that suck considering April 1st was Cardio Power & Resistance. It's a tough one and my body lost some of the momentum but I was to push through it.
April 2nd was Pure Cardio AND Cardio Abs. I was a little worried about combining both workouts, but the Cardio Abs is only about 18 mins long and not really as intense as the other workouts. I did need some back support since I did have that back surgery in July of last year so I dont feel 100% comfortable getting that C pose for the crunches and the twisting. My gf assisted by placing her knees behind my back so I had some support. No, I wasnt cheating cause my abs were still killing me when I was done.
April 3rd was off.....
April 4th was my 2nd Fit Test and the start of week 3. I can honestly say that I am amazed at the improvements that I saw and felt. I wasnt out of breath and breathing like a panting dog and I was able to add more reps and do 2 excersises that I couldnt perform. So here are my results
workout / fittest1 / fittest2
switch kicks / 60 / 86
power jacks / 30 / 40
power knees / 40 / 75
power jumps / 15* / 20
globe jumps /13 / 22
suicide jumps / 0 / 6
push-up jacks / 0 / 8
low plank oblique / 35 / 30**
*the original 15 were in totally bad form, this time I did 20 in good form
**I did 5 less but the original 35 were also in bad form. I was also more tired the 2nd test since I was working out harder than the 1st time.
So there you go, there's the improvement of my fit test. I know that with time I will get better.
I am also seeing a difference in my mid section, chest, arms and biceps. I am not going to be ripped like Saun T and the others in the video in 60 days, but maybe when I do it again for another 60 I might see better improvements.
There's still a long way to go, so lets take it one step at a time.
